real performance management principal - Greg Sticker
Greg started his working life as a cadet mechanical engineer with the NSW railways, before changing course to follow his passion in car-related engineering. One of his first leading automotive engineering roles involved exhaust emission testing, fuel consumption testing and other Australian Design Rule (ADR) testing for a consulting engineering company.
The experience gained in this role lead to his first engagement with an automotive manufacturer, Alfa Romeo Australia. Over four and a half years, Greg worked in various positions within the service department, including two years managing the internal workshop as a sublet business.
With young daughters at home, Greg moved to positions closer to home, included roles as a parts manager in several dealerships before starting his parts and service business in Sydney’s north-western suburbs. The parts and service business specialised in the servicing, repairs, restoration and race car construction and preparation of mainly Alfa Romeo vehicles.
In the year 2000, the year of the Sydney Olympics, Greg closed his business to return working for automotive manufactures. Over the next sixteen years, Greg held senior management positions in both service and parts departments for Hyundai and Peugeot, before moving to Melbourne to take up an appointment with Opel (GM) and Fiat Chrysler.
For the last nine years, Greg has been using his extensive automotive experience to train and consult with dealership staff and manufacturers in his specialty area of Service and Parts departments.
